A couple weeks a go I picked up a another Diebold TL15 steel plate safe. The safe was in great condition and only $300 and I was able to lift it with my truck's lift gate.
Only weird thing about the safe is that is that the Sargent and Greenleaf lock only has a two number combination. You spin the dial to the left to 50 and then then to the right to 10, the dial stops and the safe opens. I have another identical Diebold safe with the exact same lock but it has a 4 number combination.
The lock has a sticker on it which says:
Combination Lock
Group 2M
37YM
Imprinted in the housing of the lock it says it is a series R6700.
Is this lock damaged or defective. Could I fix it if I bought a combination change key or should I just buy a new lock?
Thank you, Dan
