SAS: Are You Tough Enough?

30 years ago, maybe/probably. Crosscountry track and a gymnast, a Scout who spent 3 months a year at 6500 - 12000 feet in the mountains, climbed Mt. Whitney at 13, etc. That's how I ended up in the brown water Navy in 'Nam. Now - at 50, fat and a deskjob - no way.
 
Well...40 or 50 years back...

Probably, from what I've read of the training, the lack of sleep would have wiped me out, no matter how much physical conditioning I'd done. I've logged long hard miles in real rough mountain country but at some point that "wall" said, "Sleep, fool!"

They are elite troops and can pick their weapons, and have enough knowledge not to pick garbage? (Just guessing.)
