Savage 110 and 111 stock interchangable?

Hey all,

I am thinking of picking up a used Savage 110 30-06 pre accutrigger, but like the wood stock of the 111GL model.

If I picked up one of the 111 stocks, would it fit on the 110?

Savage has used several different stock configurations over the years and it is hard to say. I'd doubt if they would work without major modification, but I'm not 100% sure.

Even if you can make it work that is an expensive route. You'd be a lot better off just buying a gun the way you want it. You could easily end up investing 2-3X more in this than the gun is worth.

The 110 and 111 have the same action, but depending on the caliber and year of manufacture your Savage might come in long action or short action as well as staggered feed and centerfeed so you have to make sure the stock matches your rifle.
