Savage 110 BA .338 Lapua

Have it and put on a Vortex PST scope. It had some problems out of the box. Hornady ammo required a block of wood and hammer to extract the case. Lapua ammo and Prvi Partisan had intermittent problems. One round was fine, second round stiff, 3rd round required a bit of force to extract.
Called up Savage and there are some known issues with these guns and the Hornady, something along the lines of Hornady using a softer brass then most. I sent it back to them under warranty.
Ticket said the Chamber was polished, burrs on the bolt removed and headspace was checked. Since I got it back, no problems with any ammo I've sent through it.
Sight in and X ring was the final 3 shot group (Public range, target changes are few and far between)

Savage BA 338
I have one and have shot several hundred rounds through it.....I have a Nightforce scope on mine and a 20 MOA base.....I shoot Lapua or handloads, my rifle will shoot MOA or better out to five hundred yards to 1000yrds.. I am limited to 1000 yds where I shoot. I have shot the 338 for several years through several different platforms, some of them 3 to 4 times the cost of the Savage. For the money the Savage is a good solid performer, I am happy with mine.
