Savage 1907 Question ??

Does anyone know what material an original 1907 was manufactured in?? did they offer it chrome/nickel plated ?? Thanks

I have never seen one in nickel or chrome, as far as I know, they were all blue steel with case hardened bits.

Savage did turn out nickel plated pistols as well as guns with factory engraving and/or pearl grips. I don't know if there is any record of the numbers of each, but they are very uncommon.
