Savage 411 Write Up In AR

The Savage (Baikal) 411 got a pretty good write up in the latest American Rifleman. It's only available in 12 gauge currently although a 20 and .410 are supposed to be in the works. List is $399. I wonder how much they'll actually be sold for?

Yea, I read that last night. I'm sure the magazine got a well polished gun for their tests, but it got me thinking that I might wait for the 20 ga to come out and pick one up. I'm sure by that time there will be plenty of information on the 12 ga to see if its what they say it is.

Not the same gun, but I took both a look at and a shot with anapex's Baikal O/U. While stiff, it opened and closed smoothly. Powdered the bird too. Nice little gun.

If the 411 is made to this level, it should be a nice using shotgun.
