Savage 99 Extractor

Hi Guys ,
A fellow brought me his Savage 99 in 308 with detachable mag . The right hand cartridge is almost impossible to get to feed up into the chamber . The extractor does not want to jump into the extractor groove of the cartridge as the is too much tension .Left side feeds fin ,right side no .

Being the smart guy I am, I reworked the front end of the extractor and it feeds fine ,new problem is that it will not push to the left hard enough to hit the ejector for ejection .

Does anyone have info on how to fit a Savage 99 extractor ?

Well I fitted a new extractor . The trick is to bevel the bottom of the extactor at a pretty good angle but do not remove material on the portion that will push cartridge to the left . Easier done than explained .
