As the title says I am in the market for a scope. I just bought a savage 308 rifle after I discovered I could become a member at the Quantico range and learn to shoot long distances using a scope. I served in the Marines but the majority of my experience is with iron sights and the farthest I shot was 500 yards.
I really dont want to spend over a $1000 and I would like to be able to shoot efectively out at least 1000 yards. I would also like a scope that could be used in hunting as well if I decide to go hunting. Any suggestions are welcome.
