Savage bolt head replacement

I have an old savage 110L with the old style extractor and the ejector mounted to the box magazine. I want to do a caliber/barrel change. If i put a new style bolt head on and grind off the ejector tit on the box mag, am i good to go? or is it more involved than that?

Numrich has the replacement for the old style.

The new ones fit differently as they are keyed different. The best way to go would be a whole new, new style bolt assay. The ejector post on the mag will need to be removed.

nevermind. I'm just going to pick a caliber that uses the same bolt head. save a few bucks and some hassle.

I think I have a new style .470 that's has minor pitting from primer blow by. If I can find it, would you like to play around with it?
