Finally ditched the plastic stock, upgraded glass, upgraded scope base & rings. If it dont shoot better, it sure does look better
Stock is a B&C Tactical Medalist, Leupold VXIII 8.5-25x50, Ken Farrell base, Warne Maxima rings, and a Savage 10FP 20" .308
wow, it looks like you even got rid of the accutrigger. If, so kudos. I hate that trigger. It's nice to see someone who cares enough about their rifle to invest in a worthy scope. I'm very curious as to how it shoots past 300yrs with that 20' barrel.
I had consider the 10FP first, but couldn't find a good non-folding stock version for a price I was willing to pay at the time. The evolution of yours is very nice.
To answer a few of your questions.
Overall length is 40"
weight 10.6#
I removed the accu-Trigger blade only, this lightened the trigger a few ozs, and is a very nice 2# pull
I went from the original Choate Folder to the Choate UV stock, the only available stock at the time for the new 4.4" action screw spacing(that I was willing to pay for)
Rifle shot .6"-.5" for 5 shot groups @100, before the new stock and glass, so hoping to shoot at least the same.
This is my first venture on scopes in the 1K neighborhood, it cost me a nicely equipped Rem SPS .223, but no regrets
Its a good looking rifle. If you decide to rebarrel look up ershaw.com you can get target or bull barrel for 175.00 delivered. You can search my post and look at mine, its a 7mm mag with a 2/" barrel from shaw. Good luck with the rifle.
