Man, I'm having a great week with rifles.
My Savage Model 14 isn't ejecting spent rounds when I pull the bolt back, but the extractor is letting them go and they're staying in the chamber. I read somewhere that disassembling a Savage bolt requires a gunsmith to reassemble because unlike Winchester 70's and Rem 700's the Savage bolt must have the firing pin protrusion adjusted upon reassembly. Is this not something I can accomplish on my own? I'm guessing the extractor and ejector needs a good cleaning, but I've never taken one apart so I don't know what to expect in there. Any help is appreciated.
