Have one of these in mint condition. Looking for a source of mags. This pistol (based on serial number lookup on the internet) is a late model produced in 1919 and has the spur hammer and fine serrations on the slide. I've tried some mags from triple-k but even though they fit, one won't feed and the other won't load 10 rounds. Fortunately, I've got one OEM mag that works great (after taking it apart and putting the spring in correctly so the follower would move all the way up to feed the 10th round without jamming). Anyway, any help locating mags would be great! 10 shots quick is correct.

Might hit a gun show this weekend; there's one guy there who seems to have most of the mags that I'm looking for. He even has a nice notebbook put together to help him (and you), ID the right mag in case there were some mods to it due to model changes, etc. If I go, I'll check with him and get his card/info so you can get in touch with him.

Caution: Use only original mags....I went through the aftermarket crap & threw away my $$$$. I learned more about the Savage from the site below & he sells original parts...This was a year ago, so not sure how active it is...Good hunting...

Use only original magazines. You will have to buy used. If your pistol is .380 caliber, look for a magazine with 380 on the side near the floorplate. If you have 32 caliber model be aware that early magazines have the latch hole very near the bottom and will not work with your later variant pistol. Look for a mag with the hole about 1 inch up from the floorplate or a mag with holes in both spots.
