OK, one more. Who knows about the Savage Model 720 semi-auto 12 ga that looks like a Browning A-Bolt. Its S/N 59281 and in mint condition.

I've inherited my fathers gun collection which includes this shotgun, the Mossberg Model 485B and a Model 94 dated to 1928.

Browning A-Bolt

You mean Browning Auto-5. It is a liscenced clone of the Auto-5, and pretty much all information about the information about Auto-5s can be applied to it; such as changing the recoil system setting to cycle heavy or light loads. Great gun, my late Grandfather's prefered (well, only) shotgun.

i two have a model 720 in 12@16 gu,and i am looking for info on them any help would be very helpfull.12 has a dog chaseing a bird and says savage on the receiver,my 16 only has designs on it,also is there a slug barrel made for the 16,you can reach me at [email protected]

Again, the 720 is fundamentally the same as the Remington model 11 or Browning A-5. I have the shotgun you describe in 12GA and it is a real rabbit fiend.

i just bought a 720 with the birds being chased by dog and ducks on the other side i got it for almost nothing and realy like to find out more about it what year it si,what its worth etc. any help would be greatful thanks. email is [email protected]

I have a mint 720 in 16 ga. and it is better made than either the Browning A-5 or the Remington 11. The serial # should be under the trigger guard just like a Browning.

I have one of those that I inherited from my grandfather. Never shot it (light riust on the bolt). It is in 16ga. Beauty of a shotgun!
