• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

Hello. I have a request for the owners of Savage MSR 15 Recon rifles - can you please check if your tension adjustment screw for the upper has a plastic top, or it's just plain steel? Only interested in the OEM screws, not the aftermarket ones. The reason I'm asking is because a friend of mine had the trigger freeze today as he was dry-firing the rifle and I disassembled and checked the firing mechanism and found nothing wrong. It felt like something was lodged under the trigger - completely frozen and the safety cannot be engaged. While I was trying to move the safety before disassembly, it eventually freed and was able to operate properly. I was expecting to find a blown out primer, but nothing. Everything was OK - pins, springs, contact surfaces of the trigger, hammer and disconnector were fine and without burrs. Lower was also OK - no burrs, no metal shavings, no excessive fouling, nothing. The grip screw was not protruding... After lubricating and reassembling the firing mechanism worked OK. But I don't remember if the tension screw had a plastic cap or not - his is just plain steel and I'm suspecting that maybe, just maybe, it had a small plastic cap to protect from gouging the upper leg and it fell of under the trigger. I did not find anything when disassembled the mechanism, but it is entirely possible that I missed it somehow and it just fell off.
