Also looking at Savage model # 22215
11 predator hunter in 243 does anybody have one of these and if so, What is your opinion of performance and quality, Thanks

I don't own one, but did research them at one point. I think Savage makes two versions.. one is the "Predator Hunter" and one is the "Predator Hunter Max1". The Max1 version has the Accustock and metal detachable magazine, where the standard does has the cheap stock and plastic mag. I'd go for the Max1 if you were deciding. I've read they can shoot up to 100gr if you are looking to shoot the heavies, but I'd suspect it will depend on you altitude. 95's and below should work anywhere. The quality is typical Savage. I'll leave that up to you to decide if it's a good or bad thing. The gun is heavy, not a walking hunter for sure, especially if you add any optic of weight. If I were to get one, I'd probably go with the 6.5 variant as the twist rate is perfect for lights and heavies. They shoot accurate like all Savages with the right ammo.

I have 2 - one in 243 and the other in 22-250.
Both shoot sub-MOA. Both equal factory velocities so bbl length is appropriate.
Both are rugged. The bull barrel makes them front heavy.
Scopes are good.
Zero issues with the 22-250. 243 sometimes does not fire my reloads with Winchester primers. That is annoying. Getting that fixed.
Savage rifles are among the most consistently accurate rifles out there.

There is nothing more worthless than a second hand opinion.
