Will a stock for a Savage 93R17 fit a Savage MKII .22lr?

Don't think so. Different action length and different bottom metal.

Calling Savage has been a runaround so far. Ill keep trying but they like to close early and I cant call them from work.

Yes, the stocks are all the same, only the bottom metal differs. That is, as long as the receivers are of the same vintage. What you need to be careful of is mixing E-receivers with those made previous. Swapping those back and forth requires a little more massaging. The easiest way to tell is that the earlier models had a step about four inches forward of the receiver, where the barrel goes from the same diameter as the receiver to about 1/4" less. The E-receivers do not have this step.
