It was a package deal arranged by my Federal/Savage contact at Vista.
Rifle, scope, rings, five different Federal .308 products (two 165s & three 150s).

Off a rest at 100 yards, minor winds 3-5 mph, variable Scout scope dialed to its lowest setting, averaged around 1.5 inches for 3-shot strings.
One load put 3 holes inside an inch.

I think that's not too bad, for a utility gun.
Heavy for a "true" Scout per Cooper's dictum, but a much better overall rifle than the first two Savage Scouts I worked with years ago.

If it had a flush mag available, or even blind bottom metal, I'd be quite tempted to keep it. :)
I'm not a fan of a big mag sticking out right at the normal balance point for in-hand ground carry.

That oogly brake up front actually works, a pleasant shooter with the soft rubber recoil pad.
Did not try the iron sights.
We had some back & forth when the rifle first arrived about the scope rail obstructing the entire bottom half of the sight picture through the Williams aperture, and they sent a replacement rail that's channeled out in each rib to open up the sighting view through 'em.
Those work now, the screw-in aperture is too small to be a Cooper-esque ghostring, but if you remove it, you've got your ghost ring.

Production was changed to ship the correct rail on the model going forward, so that should have been corrected by now.

I'd still like to see a stronger spring in that long mag latch, and if I'd kept the rifle I also woulda had my gunsmith shorten it a bit.
It did hold through all testing, but got itself accidentally nudged during handling at one point. Stronger spring & shorter latch sticking out there would give me more peace of mind about mag retention through hills & vales. And other bumpy locales.

The 110 Scout is well worth a look, and with the spare parts included to adapt length of pull & comb height, it's a nice buy.
