Still Shooting

I've seen a lot of gripes here about rifle manufacturers' customer service, and I thought I'd share an experience I just had with Savage Arms.
I have a Savage Model 11FHNS in 7mmWSM (no longer in the Savage line). I bought the gun from a dealer 6 months ago, NIB. I have found that the factory stock isn't a great fit, and have ordered a Bell and Carlson Tactical Medalist stock for the rifle.
I was advised that I would likely need a new magazine box, follower and spring assembly, and trigger guard. So I called Savage about a half hour ago. I was connected immediately with a Service Technician, and explained exactly what I am doing.
After taking the Serial no. of my rifle, he put me on hold for about 2 minutes and came back with the following:
1) No need to buy the box and follower; the originals will fit.
2) The trigger guard will have to be replaced, and he will have a new one shipped out. He said, "Expect it to arrive in 5 to 7 days."
3) I asked him if he needed a credit card number, and he responded, "Nope. No charge. I'll get it right out to you."
For all of you guys who have been dealing with Remchester, how do you like that?!
I will add that, notwithstanding the stock fit (comb height and pistol grip angle, which are after all kind of personal) the gun has turned in 1/2moa groups with everything I've "fed" it - 140 to 160gr, factory and handloads, min. to max. charges.
So why am I doing a re-stock? -Because I'm looking for 1/4moa, and I think the gun has that capability. It shoots better than I do right now...
