Quick Stevens 200 stock question

fit mine, yes... but you need to look at your stevens. I'm told there were two different versions of the stevens. From what I hear one has a single stack magazine. I've never seen one of those, and you can call manufacturers and check this rumor against fact if you'd like. I have a stevens with a double stack blind magazine and that stock fit it well.

I have a Savage 11 short action 7mm WSM. Bought and installed a B&C Tactical/A2 blind magazine stock -SKU 2997-02 (black).

The magazine is a center feed (single stack). I had to get a magazine retaining bracket (my factory rifle had a hinged floorplate), and the stock required a front mounting screw that was longer than the factory front screw. I was able to buy a rear screw from Brownell's, and trimmed it with a Dremel cutoff disc. I was able to use the factory trigger guard. The stock fits, functions, and has improved the accuracy of the rifle.

I got a walnut stock from Boyds for mine and it is beautiful. the difference is in the centerfeed, if you remove your barrel and the magazine remains in the stock, you will need a newer model stock and my gunsmith still had to do a lil whittling to get it to work, just check out the stock for the corresponding Savage 10 or 110 model. mine had the "blind feed" but they are availablle. now I got a cheap, beautiful tackdriving 200.

By my measure the action screw spacing is 4.4, the magazine remains in the stock when that action is removed. I don't know if it is double or single stack owing to the fact that the magazine is a piece of ----- and I've never been able to load more than one cartridge into it.

Its not a "center stack" its called a "center FEED". The rounds feed straight into the barrel rather than alternating back and forth. Its pretty easy to tell which on you have.
