Should I have gotten it?

It looks just like this one, except the one at the pawn shop had fixed sights.

Thats a good question; hi-points are ugly, but people say they are very reliable...

I owned a 422 for years, and it was very reliable.

It was kept clean, and fed a constant diet of Thunderbolts.

Its 75-25. I have heard from most folks that they are junk and always misfeed, even when new. one guy I talked to said they were as good as glock. All I know is that everytime i have charged a convicted felon with possessing a firearm, its always been a highpoint. $125 will get a brand new hi point 9mm.

That's a steal of a price. If you don't jump on it, please post where this bargain is. I own a 6-inch 622 with target sights that I've had for almost 20 years. Great shooter with a trigger that developed into a crisp glass-like break after the first year of plinking. It uses the same magazines as a model 41.

Takedown is only _slightly_ tricky, you need an empty casing to break it down. Still much easier than any Ruger.

At that price for a lightweight trail/truck gun with blued/fixed sights, I would jump on it.

EDIT: It makes an ideal platform for a form 4 suppressor as well, with the low barrel, allowing use of the sights no matter how big the can.

Not a big fan of S&Ws current low cost .22 plinker, the 22A, but I've always liked the looks of the Model 422. For the money, I would go for it.
