OK this is what i need to know i want to make an sbr draco however i need to know what kind of moa is to be Suspected if i cant hit chest size targets at 200 yards i Don't think its worth it. give me real life accuracy not Internet accuracy TY

An SBR Dragunov seems like an oxymoron, but hey to each his own. I wouldn't expect there is too much real world data on such a beast...

Seems pretty straight forward to me ... the OP is asking if a Draco Pistol (which is a Romanian AK pistol) converted to an SBR by adding a stock would be capable of hitting a chest sized target reliably at 200 yards.

Wish I had an answer :p

I would say any inability to make com shots at 200 yards and in would be an operator issue.

O.k. Making a Romanian "Draco" into an SBR has been discussed here several times. That is pretty much the most practical use for these "pistols."

This is probably the best of the threads: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=500899

Expected? That's going to depend a lot on what quality of ammo you're using, a little bit on the inherant quality of the barrel (which should be pretty good on these new-manufactured guns), and a whole lot on your technique, position, rest, and skills.

A short "PDW" sized carbine (like the AKS-74U "Krinkovs" or this Draco SBR build) aren't really designed for medium or long-range work, but you should be able to make a 200 yd. COM hit if you practice with that gun, have it sighted in well, and have the training & skills to make the shot.

Well, we can't shoot it for you so "real life" accuracy is whatever you can produce with the gun.

Like most other questions of AK accuracy, they tend to get a bum rap from folks who expect them to be as easy to shoot at long ranges as a scoped bolt action rifle, and who expect them to do their best work with 50 year-old third-world surplus ammo.

Take the time to make your technique as perfect as possble, test the gun with different kinds of ammo until you find something it likes (or make your own), and practice. Then you'll be able to tell us what kind of accuracy it can produce.

Long story short, the gun is up to it -- if you are.

One thing about the 7.62x39 round is that velocity loss is minimal with a shorter barrel. The velocity loss might become more significant with the very short barrel of an AKS-74U but with draco one only loses about 150 FPS with the typical 123 grain loads. With heavier bullets the loss is even less.

My experience has been that if a shooter has the skills they can make COM hits out to 200 yards with an AK. I do not believe that 150 fps would much change that. As stated the Dracos are newly manufactured and IMO better quality than what people typically equate with Romanian AKs.

Ive got a 7" barreled AK pistol that started life as a Draco pistol. I can hit the side of an old dishwashing machine at 190 yards easy with open sights. The 11" barreled Draco should do better.

TY for your responses and im srry if I wasn't clear. My hope was to get a feel of what the weapon system should be able to achieve, and how the shorter barrel would affect it. because there are some rifles so poorly made out there you'd be lucky to hit the broad side of a barn. and what i mean by real world V. Internet accuracy is what you have been able to achieve and not the magic sub moa ak that some guy named jim has
