I just got back from the FNH Midwest 3 gun championship.
FNH had a prototype Scar there that we could handle. This the new 5.56 and .308 rifle proposed either just for special forces or for everyone. (It's a little unclear to me.)
I took it apart. What a simple, clean mechanism! Very easy to strip, requires little lubrication.
And I love the stock, which can be both shortened and raised and lowered for cheek weld. The gun can be fired with the stock folded. I didn’t get to shoot it.
They were estimating civilian sales as late fall. The prototype had a selector that clicked pretty loudly when you moved it, which obviously needs some work.
