Scope caps (better than Butler Creek)

I've never broken a set of butler creeks, even accidently dropped a gun once pretty hard but they were closed when it was dropped. I like the see through ones, if it's raining a bit I don't open them until I have to shoot but can still see pretty well while they are closed.

re: lava dust removal

My gut reaction would be to use water with a wetting agent dispensed from a squeeze bottle with a narrow nozzle
to sluice away as much "loose" dust from the lense surface first before proceeding with contact
methods. Definitely a tricky challenge.
