I'm mostly a blackpowder/iron sight shooter and have been dealing with the "old eyes" thing for the last few years. So,I'm checking out the modern deer rifles yesterday and I notice that the crosshairs and image are fuzzy too.Put my "cheaters" on and things cleared up.Is there a way to adjust scope focus or do I just have to carry those danged glasses hunting?
Turning 50 is just the beginning to the end it would seem....

I'm not an expert on it (and pretty much a lurker for that matter) but some scopes do have a focus adjustment for the crosshairs on them. I recently purchased a Bushnell scope that has such a thing.

Any quality scope will have the ability to focus the reticle. Also, the better scopes will have the ability to adjust the parallax which will sharpen the focus of the target.

Most scopes have adjustable focus, that is intended to be used to focus the reticle, adjust it to the individuals eyes.

Most US scopes adjust image focus by loosening a lock ring and screwing the whole eyepiece in or out. Most European scopes and some American have "fast focus" rings like binoculars. Objective lens movement or "side focus" controls are to eliminate parallax and may or may not actually improve the image.
