I'm looking for a scope for a silenced 10/22 rifle. It is a standard weight barrel with a screw on can on the end of a 16 inch barrel. I want a scope with mil-dots, or similar type of marks on the reticle for different ranges since the rifle will be shot at 30-200 yard ranges. I don't really care if the marks on the reticle are mil-spec or calibrated for any specific load or distance since I will be using many different types of ammo such as subsonic, hi-velocity and target loads and will find out the distances for the different marks through trial and error and make a range card for the different types anyway. I would like the power range to be either around 1-4 or 1-5x or 2-7x area. Anything larger tends to slow down offhand shooting too much at close range. I won't spend less than $100 or more than $250. Any suggestions?

The June 2006 Guns magazine has an article in it that just nailed what you are looking for. The company is Pride Fowler Industries - that is world champion shooters John Pride and Mickey Fowler. The scope is the Rapid Reticle .22 LR HV Scope. Looks like a great scope, and those two guys will not put their name on junk. See it at www.rapidreticle.com

I'm looking for less magnification than the 3-9 offered by rapid reticle. I will be shooting a silenced 10-22 with subsonic ammo so the ranging would be off anyway. Thanks for the reply though.
