Hello Everyone,

I am still looking for a scope for my custom AR-10 and have abandon the Horus Vision system, but have been looking at the Zeiss Conquest line of scopes assembled in the United States.

How does the Zeiss Conquest line's optics compare to Zeiss' higher priced and lighter weight VM series built in Europe for image quality and clarity?

How does the Zeiss Conquest line compare to Leupold's high end tactical scopes?

Thanks for the help.

i would seriously doubt that anybody makes better glass/optics than Zeiss. You see their name pop up on all kinds of nasa hardware, and other earth based scopes.

I went with a Leupold 6.5-20x40mm LR scope on my AR-10. With the 30mm tube it is easy to mount low on the top rail. I actually had to go with taller rings than I first put on it to get proper eye alignment. The side focus is also a very nice addition and the clarity of the glass is great. It is definitely more scope than my shooting abilities need. This set up is my main pig hunting rig.
