Scope for Mini-14

I was looking for an inexpensive scope for a Mini-14. I would like a scope that would also be able to be shot open sight if needed. Any Ideas??? Thanks.

I would think about the ecotech 512 about 425.00 allows see through holograph sighting

I"m sorry I wasn't thinking that complicated. I was thinking of a scope which mounted higher so that I could still use the standard stock open sights. Maybe this has nothing to do with the scope and just the scope mounts, I dont know, please advise. Thanks

Are you talking Ranch Rifle? I dont think the stock Ruger rings will allow the flip sight to work when a scope is mounted, at least on mine it wont. I am on my second 4x32 for my mini. Shorter length and looks good, this one is a Simmons.

Yeah just a regular Mini 14. I want to be able to use a scope and also the open sights on the gun. Would that be the scope or the mounts?

All I know is I want to be able to see with the scope and also open sights as well. I don't know if that only pertains to the mounts or the mounts & scope but Please help! Thanks.

you know I was looking at swfa scope mount sight I believe I saw ruger mounts that were high scope mounts to mount the scope and still would allow you to use the iron sights as well i would be glad to sent the exact location of them but could not remember where exactly they were not that bad around 30.00 can't remember the brand hope this helps you

walmart also has some see through scope mounts to use on different rifles and they were 10.98 or something close to that price... maybe it would be worth checking them out i have those on my 30-06 with a lepuod scope and so far not a hitch...

See-through scope mounts require your head to be too high for good shooting with any rifle.

because of my style of shooting the high rings don't hamper my shooting i'm not shooting 0.3 moa but for paper and deer and turkey I am able to have a good cheek weld and the take home game is right on this type of setup varies for different people maybe just what your looking for jwalker good luck.
