I have a S&W .22 that I inherited from my buddy and want to put a hologram/red-dot type scope on it. Any suggestions as to which one is the best for the money/reliability/ease of use?

Thanks for the assist.

red dots for .22's

I see a lot of Ultradot scopes, they have links on their website where you can buy them. I got mine from Larry Carter (Larry's guns). I now use a dot scope made my Adco on my .22 target pistol, I've found the dot is much sharper than on my Ultradot. Adco's website is here.
They're both about the same price, around $100.

I have a Hakko BED24 on my Beretta Neos. Was $150 on ebay, and it's built like a tank.

I've got a cheap Blazer red dot that I've had for a few years. It's been on everything from .22 pistols (including a S&W 22A) to 44mags, to high power rifles. Right now it's on a M48 mauser I'm putting together for a friend. Finally had to change the battery a few weeks ago.

LOT ... addition of SoLow sight mounts and ..... in my case ..... a cheapo Simmons, makes for a blast .. works well. HoloSights are good --- better by far but ... way more money. I have some on my BFR and doubt I'd ''waste'' them on a .22!
