Scope mount for mini 14...

Which scope mount should I get for my 185 series mini? I understand that some folks have had issues with some of the side mounts for the earler series rifles and I would like to avoid the hassle if possible. Thanks

I've been looking at some mounts as well. I've come to the decision that I'm not going to invest in a mount for my mini14.

During my looking about, I came across an ACR type stock for the mini. A rep said that 185 models won't work with the stock because of an upward ejection. If that's the case on yours, you could look at an ultimak or amega scout scope rail. Or if you're not worried about the ejection, they make a short rail that attaches to the integral scope bases.
