I just bought a new Weatherby Vanguard and went to try and sight it in at some land we own, which is only about a 35 yard range. That is the furthest I can shoot until I find a range, and it is starting to get where I cannot shoot there with the development that is happening up there. I have always mounted my own scope and have never had a problem. I used Leupold mounts and rings. The scope came from another rifle and I know it was working fine. Anyway I was missing the target at 35 yards. I could see that it was shooting to the left. I had to get to 15 yards to hit the target. I moved the scopes windage adjustment to the extreme right and it was still to the left but it was moving to the right. The groups were tight same hole almost. I came home and took the scope off and check the screws on the mounts. I put it back on and tried setting the rifle up so I can look through the bore then through the scope and it looks like it is still off. I got to thinking and on the back ring the Leupolds have an adjustment screw for windage I assume. I think this is my problem, if you cannot tell I did not read the instructions :banghead:. I am going to go buy a bore sighter, I have put off buying one for years now, and see if I cannot get it centered using this adjustment. So I ask you guys does this sound like it is the problem?
