I have a new Mueller APV 4-14x40 scope. It is mounted on a new Ruger 10/22. I went to the range a week or so ago and attempted to sight it in. I got on the paper at about 50 yards, but I had to keep raising the scope's crosshairs up to get accurate shots to the 100 yard target.

Problem is, as I was sighting in at 100 yards, the part of the scope that you twist to raise the scope's cross hairs ran out of threads. The twist part did not fall off or anything like that, it simply can not be raised up enough allowing me to zero in at 100 yards.

I have another identical scope on a CZ452 that has worked perfectly. Has this type of event happened to anyone else? Yes, I am twisting the adjustment knob in the correct direction.... Any ideas on fixing this problem?
