It's hard to get a decent scope for $100. Nikon Prostaff is about the cheapest scope I can think of that I actually consider serviceable.
Go up to about $200-$250, and you get into more interesting things.

I got the timberline 3X9. I put it in SWFA SSALT mounts. This is a very solid setup. I mounted that up on a 6.8SPC AR with 20" barrel. I am waiting on my bullets to come in so I can take it down to the range. Overall I like the feel and construction. The glass is really clear. The adjustments are pretty good and I can hear noticable clicks. I won't know for sure how it will handle until there are some rounds down range. Then I will give a better update. So far it is good for the 119.00 I paid for it.
