For a project, I bought a Weigand Mount for my GP100. Next, I picked up a used Leupold 2X Pistol Scope on E-Bay. The Weigand Mount is easy to install and solid. The Leupold Scope while well used was crystal clear.

Sighted in the scope today and I was amazed by the accuracy of the Ruger! I shot 125 gr Montana Gold HP's loaded with 6.0 grains of Universal. I was shooting off a bag, single action.

This ain't bad for me.

It's funny that my last 50-foot and 50-yard groups are very much the same. I never would have thought that the Ruger was that accurate but all my targets except the one or two I sighted with......were just about this way.

QUESTION: I don't know much about scoping a revolver? Is the location of the scope OK? Should it be further back? I mounted it so my thumb could get to the hammer easily.

Looks good to me !! , & if ya get a full picture in the scope that`s good enuff !!!

Be sure to shoot it with just your fore arms braced before feilding it to see POI

Nice! It looks like you got everything working perfectly. How easy is it to use that 2x scope? I have a 4x handgun scope on a rifle that I might pull off and put on my old GP100. Just for the heck of it, you know?

any ruger revolver is very accurate, never seen one that wasn't. Yours should be really good for deer and other game
