Scored a new pistol today

I found a very nice Colt Combat Target Model at the Pawn shop. I had never seen this model before so I bought it. The let me have it for $675.00 so I thought what the heck it's a Colt it ought to be worth that.

I know nothig about this pistol so I hope somebody here can shed some light on the issue.

Made in '97 only. Limited run. Value? +/- $1000?

Someone added the ambi safety (I dont think they came that way stock).

I'd say you did real well. Very well. How well does it shoot?

Any idea how mwny were produced?
