scout mount recomendations

i found a user '94 winchester carbine that i want to turn into a brush rifle w/ a forward mount trouble is which is the easiest to mount w/o drilling and tapping ? what do you gents think ??? any expieriences would be appreciated

Do a search on yahoo, and check brownells for mounts. I believe XS sight systems make a mount specifically for lever guns. I have a leupold scout scope on my mauser and it's a great choice.
