Scratched lens?

I have a Leupold 6-18X target scope. On the end you look through, the glass is coated with blue coating. Toward the outer edge of the glass, there's a scratch that's through the blue but not into the glass. The "scratch" is about the size of an eyelash.

Looking through it, I can't tell it's there.

Big deal or no?

I'll say no especially not at the lenses edge. But in the future I would be much more cautious in caring for and protecting the lenses

Call Leupold their customer service is abovr excellent. They may offer to repair it for little or nothing.

you might pick up a lens pen & see if you could polish it out. the sponge end has a very fine compound on it & may just do the trick.
