I'm going to order some screwdriver bits from Brownell's. I will probably never have any guns other than the Colt Walker and Dragoon. So do I need to order a complete set? Or can someone tell me which bits I would need specifically for them.

Call Brownells at 1-800-741-0015 and ask for Dave Bennetts who is a Tech. Support Gunsmith. I think you can buy a handle and just the bit sizes you need. They make such a set for Smith & Wesson revolvers.

Did that. They did not know the exact size of the Walker/Dragoon screws.

Why not go to a gun shop or show and buy a Chapman screwdriver set for $25-$30.00. Then you can use them for any and all guns you might buy in the future, or work on your car or,......or...or.....
Very in expensive and very good. Probably cheaper that the hande, shaft and bits and...postage from Bronell's too. Dixie has them for around that price.

Chapman screwdrivers

I bought a Chapman #9600 set for $26.70 ps&h. It has everything I need for my Colts and Remington revolvers, including 2nd & 3rd Dragoons. Nice set. Read and heed the "directions", however (yes, there are directions for using a screwdriver and they are important if you don't want to bugger up the screw heads).

Chapman has a web site or you can buy the set through Brownell's, same price.
