oops...sorry

Didn't read carefully enough, I didn't catch the whole bolt action part of your post. me = dumb:banghead:

any 81 model; over the last 75 years , will do it. also for used, don't forget a 880sq, perhaps the most underrated 22 bolt action of them all. will run with the big boys.

I have an 881 I recvieved as my first "real" gun....its a great shooter, and is a gun I'll never sell or otherwise get rid of...at least to anyone outside the family

that one in the auction, looks to be made between either 38 to 41, or then 45 to 53. dl's were not made until 38, then no marlins were made during war years, then they were made again after war , until 53, with no warning, no serial number, and not saying ' microgroove' on the bbl. the accuracy on these is quite stunning, they also shoot Aguila colibri' super colibri's, short, long, and long rifle, that is an origional peeep site on the back, and is proly made before hi velocity 22 lr ammo. so it proly only works with standard velocity ammo, which is more accurate anyway. also , it will really shine shooting cci short, hi velocity hollow points. the peep site alone, on an auction, is worth 50 bucks and up.
that one in the pic, is well worth the money.
