Hello, I would like to know this. I have a gold cup and I shoot with a bullet of 200 grains semi-wad, for the shooting at 25 yards no problem with my load, very accurate in the X zone, but at 50 yards i can't find a load for the X zone, i tried some powders, some different bullets.......
However, i never tried a bullet hollow base .45 caliber, i really need your help cause i'd like to compete for the matchs.
Thank you !

These are classic loads tested by a commercial loader using 3 custom BE guns (Giles, Sams, Masaki) from a Ransom Rest. Cast, 200gr, H&G #68 style, SWC - 2 inch groups or less.

4.2 Titegroup
4.0 BE
4.2 WST
3.9 Clays
3.8 VVN310
4.2 VVN320
4.6 W231
4.2 AA#2
3.8 BA10
4.5 HP38
4.2 S1000

OAL: base to shoulder .928" .002"
Primers: CCI, Federal, WLP (WLP and CCI were more consistent)
Crimp: .469" -.002" (set with the tallest case we could find)
Cases: Starline

Don't forget, it's likely that the gun won't group that tight at 50 yds - right out of the box I wouldn't expect a stock GC to shoot 2" at 50.

When I was shooting bullseye competition the Speer 200 gr LSWC bullet over 4.2 gr of Bullseye for my 50 yd load. BTW my Series 70 Colt Gold Cup would group at 11/2" from a Ransom rest after broken in with 200 rounds w/o any modification except cleaning. :)
