It's a quick question really, I'm shooting an SPS Tactical Boltgun in .223, I shoot the 69 GR SMK's and I want to seat them to 2.300" the Sierra book lists 2.260 but seating them to 2.300" prevents bullets slipping into the cases when banging around in the oversized action (designed for .308)
So, can I safely do this? I doubt it's into the lands because I loaded 4 dummies with no primer or powder for testing and dry fire and loading from various positons practice and there is no irregular friction when loading them into the chamber, so, can I?

Should be no problem as long as you are working your load up using that OAL. It will have different pressure (using the same load) than one loaded to 2.260". There is still plenty of bullet in the case neck to hold it in place.

As above, as long as you're not into the lands and have enough bullet in the case neck (which you will with the 69-77gr bullets in .223), there is no danger of going longer than listed in the book for OAL.

And if that Remington .223 chamber is like the .30-06 ADL I once worked with, good luck reaching the lands from the magazine...

I have been loading my 69gn Nosler CC's to 2.269. At 2.271 I start hitting the lands on my SPS Tactical.

If you want to know if you are jamming the lands, paint your bullet with a sharpie marker, chamber the round and then look for land marks. You will have a long squiggly mark down one side which comes from the throat as it chambers. If you hitting the land, there will be several evenly spaced spots around the bullet. You usually don't want to jam the lands as it can cause excessive pressure. Good luck.
