The liberal PI has been publishing the usual AWB hysterics over the past few weeks, but now they have an editorial that slaps the Antis upside the head. Someone must have gotten off their thorazine drip. I'm sure things will be back in ideological order any minute now. :D

Hyperbole is the Weapon of Choice

A couple of items are wrong, if you nitpick. Flash-hiders protect the shooter's night vision, they don't hide his location. Also, NFA items are not entirely illegal to own in Washington state. The state law banning them had a very ugly, semi-grandfathering clause attached, where having a legal NFA item prior to the ban would be a positive defence in court.

Mr. Shapley seems to be the PI's token conservative.

They have to employ at least one to have any hope of maintaining their claim of journalistic integrity and fairness.

Most of their columnists inhabit the same personal hell I used to:

Communism is good, the Soviet Union is good, America is bad.

Liberals are good, Republicans are the most evil creatures ever to walk the face of the earth (well, Richard Nixon certainly was!)

And so forth and so on.

Luckily, I grew up, and developed the ability to think for myself.

The older I got, the more I found myself identifying with moderates and conservatives, to the point that many of my old friends from the "demonstration set" won't have anything to do with me any more.

I'm a parriah, and it feels good.

One thing that strikes me about my still very liberal/quasi socialist-communist friends is the amount of repressed rage that they have.

They are not happy people, and but for the fact that I took time to listen and learn, instead of just mindless protest as they did, I escaped that fate.

The left is a party of victims and always will be. Their supporters are inept and incompetent and their leaders want to keep them that way or else they won't have a job any more.

As for protests, chaining themselves together, and waving signs. That's ok with me. Just makes them easier targets to shoot if they cross the line into felonious behavior. :D
