The frame came in the mail a few days ago but I had to wait until today for the cylinder before I could share it with you guys.

It's a Smith & Wesson 14-3 that I picked up for €175. According to the serial number it's from 1971.

Here it is alongside my MR-73

There's a bit of surface wear near the mouth of the barrel bit otherwise it's in good shape.

It's got the wide trigger and hammer spur.

I've been told the wide trigger can help accuracy but I haven't had the chance to try it yet. That said, the trigger feels great, so I've got high hopes!
:D

Nice gun. Congrats. I like that MR73, too.

Some like the wide target trigger for single action shooting, but many feel it's too wide for double action shooting.

We'll expect a range report soon. :D

shucks, some like that wide trigger for DA and SA, you know !
(well, ok ... mostly just us old guys with too much mouse time, and not enough trigger time, you know) :D

model 14.. yo, let's be a little more forum user friendly, and call it what it is, Slim
K-38 Masterpiece
(color me envious) :)

you done good !

I like the wide trigger for DA and SA as well. Awesome guns!

I really like that 14. She looks like a great shooter

Nothing says "classy" like a blued steel revolver. She looks great.

Be sure to update this with the first range report. Not that I expect anything earth shaking from the gun. The old S&W's are just so universally excellent that it would be amazing to hear anything BUT superlatives.... :D
