I just recently got them last month. You don't see them for sale that often. If they weren't made that good, you'd see people selling the parts. I don't see that.

I recently picked up another one- a .357 Magnum. That's four that I have now- two .38 Specials and two .357 Magnums. I don't plan on getting anymore- like there just all over the place

Now I'm concentrating on getting parts, that's hard enough. Especially the cylinder extractor parts group.
Original factory grips, which there were three types, are even harder to get. I have all three types but had to buy a parts kit to get it. That's OK, I can always use the parts as extras.Hopefully, I'll never need them.
Better to have them and not need it than to need it and not have them.

Finally found the box and paper work (parts list, drawing, unfilled warranty card and receipt). Now all I need are some cylinder parts.
