Where can somebody get security locks for windows? Like some kind of small braces or locks other than just the latch on the window itself?

places like home depot sell little blocks, that allow a window to open enough to get get a breeze goign but not for a person to enter. you set the amount the window can open by where u screw in the thing.

i imagine they offer other forms aswell

All you need is little 1x1 lengths of a hard wood to stick in the track of the window. Still doesn't stop the would be criminal from braking the window, but I expect to hear that.

Why are you asking US?

First, this is a firearms forum. Your question has NOTHING to do with firearms; and

Second, you could have readily answered your own question, had you made the slightest attempt. You obviously did not, as you'd have found PAGES of information in less time than it took to post your thread.

Here's the proof:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=window+security+lock&btnG=Google+Search

So why are you cluttering up this - and OTHER - firearms forums with a window question? :scrutiny:

Yes I could have done a google search and had in fact looked around the web at such sites as Home Depot. But mainly, I was looking for experience and opinions of real people such as yourself and others on the forum as opposed to just advertizing.

It is not directly firearms related, but it is a distant relative in that it has to do with home defense (which is one primary function of firearms) Hence, I thought this might be a good place to ask
