Sedco Industries SP-22, Info needed.

I saw a Sedco Industries SP-22 pistol in Nickle finish SN: 37XX at a local gunstore today. It is in very good condition and they want $60 for it. (I can probably get them to take $10 off of it.). I am not able to find much info on these guns. Are they like Hi-Points, cheap but effective. Or are they cheap guns that are lucky to get off two shots before jamming? Are spare mags and parts available? Any info would be apreciated. I like unusual guns and this one grabbed my attention (Before I even saw the price tag. )

I believe it is similar to the Jennings 22lr pistols. I'd stay away even at the modest price unless maybe you can test fire it.
