I am looking at the FNP-9 but there is not much to be found on the net about these firearms. What I have found seems to reiterate my own thoughts from handling the firearm. The in hand feel is great, the trigger is buttery smooth and light, the finish is great.

I have found some articles that state the customer service is incredible. It seems there may have been some issues with the early models but they seem to have been addressed quite a while ago.

If you have actual 1st hand experience with this firearm I would like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks.

I've only fired one once, but I like it quite a bit. Accuracy was roughly the same as my G19, but I was shooting at cans so it isn't like I had a competition target for comparison. I'd guess the one I fired had about 200 rounds through it during it's time at the range and it didn't have a single hiccup. I think FN might have a forum that you could check out to find out more.

Own one, my ONLY 'poly-gun', and it's a GREAT SHOOT!!... Like it so much, have been looking to get its 'big-brother' the FNP-45!
Have about 1500+ rounds in, ZERO problems... NO FTFs, FTEs, jam-ups, etc... shoots every ammo. Has a 'big-gun' feel... fits my grip PERFECT. Nice trigger, similar to my Sig-P229... Tear-down, clean-up VERY EASY. Has been a very reliable gun for me.
Would highly recommend the gun if you like the 'looks' and the hand-fit is right for you. CDNN is selling them at a pretty good price.

I had one and really regret selling it. I put 1,400 rounds through mine and it never had one issue. Accurate and reliable.

My wife has one that I bought her for our most recent anniversary. It was supposedly used, but I couldn't tell. The previous owner had also purchased 7 additional magazines, which the gun shop threw in with the gun, all for about $475 with tax.

We took the gun out to shoot back in September. I cannot comment on the accuracy - we were shooting at the same target as a bunch of other people. We were at a friend's farm and trying to get a couple of other friends into shooting, so it was a lot of "here, try this and see how you like it".

Anyway, the first fifty rounds or so, it would fail to cycle properly at least once per magazine. We tried a couple of different brands of ammunition, but it would still not cycle properly some of the time. Then, all of a sudden, it just started working like it was supposed to and we never had another failure in the next fifty to one hundred rounds.

I'm wondering if the previous owner didn't take it out to shoot, have some malfunctions in the first couple of magazines he shot and then decided it was junk.

My wife likes it a lot, but i thought it was just OK; nothing wrong, just not exactly what I want.

Try one out; if you like it, I think it will likely serve you well.

I've got one, and it's a lovely pistol. Very reliable too. The ergonomics of it are superb (as you pointed out). You won't regret buying it!

I just bought one and I love it!

Since I got my first 1911 I have preferred it over anything else in my gunsafe but with what I think to be a strong possibility of a new AWB coming, I wanted to go ahead and buy a really good high capacity 9mm that didnt say "Glock" on the side.( I am not a Glock hater, I just dont seem to ever shoot well with them) I seriously considered a Sig 226 but all I could find locally was brand new and in the $900 range. I have owned 2 Beretta
92's and really didnt like either of them and I was leaning towards a CZ-75 B because I used to own one and really liked how it shot.

My local gunsmith suggested the FNP and he has been giving me good advice for many years. He had a used one in stock and I got to do some range time with it...WOW! I was really impressed with it on many levels. It points well for me, probably due to its Browning heritage, the sights are great and I found it to be more accurate then I am ( not that hard to do in all honesty!) I shot a 250 round box of UMC 9mm hardball thru it and it was flawless and that ammo is a good test since it is made from many different manufacturers shell casings.
I went back to the shop and worked out a deal and got extra lucky: The used one was at a great price AND came with 4 stainless mags rather then 3!
I highly recommend it and you get a lot of gun for the money!

Excellent Gun!!!

I love mine, ive had it for 3 years, not one issue or malf. Would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I bought one and have put about 2000 through it. Ball ammo jams less than hollow points and the ball ammo usually jams up within the last 5 rounds. It's been doing it from the start and I have put stronger springs in the mags to try and solve that issue. It also has feeding issues and will "hang up" when cycling the next round. A double-tap is actually a "single-pause-click-single tap." Hollow points have been the most inconsistent. I must have a pill considering the other posts and envy those who have one that functions.
