Has anyone else had problems firing this ammo? My Ruger LC9 snaps on about every 4th or 5th round. Recycle the round and it fires. The LC9 has no problems with other makes at this time.

This should probably be in Handguns - Autoloaders

It seems a lot of people have issues with hard primers in the S&B ammo. I personally have never had any issues, but have only fired it from a Beretta 92FS which is known to have a lot of firing pin energy, compared to most striker-fired pistols, and subcompact hammer-fired pistols such as your LC9.

That said, a failure to fire every 4 or 5 rounds still seems excessive. I might suggest calling Ruger to either get a stronger hammer spring or have them look at it. Also, try another batch of S&B. It is possible you just got a box with exceptionally hard primers (even by their standards)

I just finished off a case of these in my full size M&P 9.

Really nice stuff in my experience.

When we bought my wifes S & W Bodyguard 380 last summer we also got a box of S&B and we probably had a half dozen that didn't fire in that box of 50 so we put that on our do not buy list. The Aguila we now use for target cycles every time. I am waiting for Nachez to get some Aguila 9mm in so I can try it out seeing as how well their 380 has performed for us.

I've never once had any issue with S&B 9mm. I love the stuff.

If a .380 is having trouble, it's probably a S&W BG. Notorious light primer strikes. As does the LCP when the firing pin gets dirty.

One time in 2011 I did get a couple boxes of S&B .45ACP that were very hot. Shot like +P. S&B sent me two free boxes!
