I have used some in the past in 45 ACP reloads. No problem with them going bang. They are metric sized so they might be a bit tight when seating like Wolf/Tula primers. I would buy them again if they showed up around here at reasonable prices again.

Thanks Frog. They had them here at my LGS for $30, compared to $42 (per 1000) for all other top name brands, I figured I would save a few bucks.

I had horrible luck with the Tula primers.

I still trust Tula/Wolf LP and LR. But I have had too many failures with their SP and SR. I haven't used enough S&B to form an opinion on reliability. But the cups seem to be sized just right. Firm but not hard to seat, and they have all gone bang. And they sure are shiny. And every S&B factory round I have ever fired went off... except for one squib. But the primer drove the bullet partway into the rifling, so all good there, too. :)

I agree GLOOB with the Tula SP FTF's, I don't know if it was a bad lot, or what.

I've shot the LP's with no problem as well.

"But I have had too many failures with their SP and SR"

I guess an example of 'Different Strokes'???

I have used the Wolf SRM, and the ".223" primers for quite awhile now..No problems whatever??
No AR slamfires+great overall performance..Bill.

To be fair, I had only 1 Wolf 223 failure out of 1k. I suppose I could chalk it up to my rifle needing regular SR. Good to hear you like 'em.

I too have found S&B primers hard to seat. A close look will show that the shoulder of the S&B primer is more squared than say a rounded Win primer. The squared shoulder works better in a Vibra-prime. The S&B goes bang but has an odd smell when fired.
