There is a gunshow where I live in March and I am getting some things of mine together to sell. (AK mags, scope mount kit, old scope.) I am wondering if there is money to be made by buying bulk surplus ammo and then spliting it into smaller lots and selling it. I was thinking about getting some .308, 8mm Mauser, 7.62x54R, 7.62x25, 9x18, and 9mm Luger and selling them per 50 rounds with myself making a bit of profit. (I can always use this ammo in my guns if it does not sell.) Many people where I live don't want to buy ammo 1000 rounds at a time but want some ammo for their surplus guns. Has anyone done this and how well have you done. How well does corrosive ammo sell as compared to non-corrosive. Is this a good idea or should I not waste my time?

Thanks

There probably is some money to be made but you have to buy far more than 1k rounds and break it up. You would probably be selling it at gun shows in 500 or 1k lots. It all depends on what you pay for the ammo and what you sell it for. I mainly see people buying 5.56 or 7.62x39 at gun shows.

Some people do that at gun shows here. I've noticed the "ammoman.com" stickers on their boxes.
