Selling off a gun collection

I see a lot of lower end guns, but not necessarily junk. And keep one of the K31's too! Maybe attend a few of the guyns shows as a floor walker too with a sign on your back saying what you have. Sell for example at a reasonable price the FIE's and such and you will probably sell most of them off.

Well, I live in Marietta GA and I'd be interested in:

PISTOLS:
4 CZ CZ-52 7.62x25

RIFLES
29 CETME 308 NATO
66 SKS 7.62 x 39

And one of these:
46 Mosin Nagant 91/30 7.62 X 54R
50 Mosin Nagant M38 7.62x54R
52 Mosin Nagant M39 7.62x54R
53 Mosin Nagant M44 7.62x54R

Here is a full list of what I have (minus the ones I want to keep):

Those aren't really high end collectible guns; they're mostly commodity guns. The good news is that you should be able to sell them easily at any gun show, because there are lots of people who would be interested and able to pay the market price (which they pretty much know because lots of them are being sold). The bad news is that an auction probably isn't the way to go. Auctions are great for bringing top dollar on collectibles and things with a somewhat limited market appeal, but are not good choices for commodities.

Pay the $35/table (or whatever it is) for a couple of tables at a gun show, preferably a major show in a larger city. You want door traffic, not dealers, because the primary buyers for your guns will be average joes. Dealers may be interested, but only if your price is low enough that they can flip it quickly to that average joe and take the margin. Given the types of guns you have, that means you would get a pittance from dealers for most of your collection.

I don't know the Georgia gun show scene well, but there has to be a couple of big ones every year in the Atlanta area. You may need to reserve tables well in advance for the best shows. Take someone with you to help watch the table and assist with setup and takedown. Pay him/her $100 or so if necessary, as it will be well worth it. Plan on selling everything. You'll know pretty quickly if your prices are too high, because: (1) you won't be getting much interest, and (2) your first order of business after setup will be to walk around and survey the competition while your buddy watches your table. Keep in mind that lots of people will come back to buy guns they've looked at earlier, though (after surveying the rest of the show), so don't lower them too early. At least wait out the day and see if potential buyers come back with offers before leaving the show.

Good luck!
